Mailbox Vandal Captured In Oxford

OXFORD (WCBI) – Wrong time and definitely the wrong place for a Tennessee man now facing malicious mischief charges in Oxford.

21 year old William Jones of Brentwood, Tennessee is charged with felony malicious mischief after he went on a mailbox bashing spree in two Oxford subdivisions. His rampage through the Magnolia Grove and Breckenridge areas was cut short when an off duty Oxford officer heard the noise and spotted Jones destroying the mailboxes. That officer caught Jones following a short foot chase. More than 20 mailboxes were damaged enough to put the dollar amount to a felony level.
