3 Dead In Tippah County Wreck

TIPPAH COUNTY (WCBI) – A New Albany man and 2 Jackson, Tennessee residents are dead following a head on collision Sunday morning in Tippah County.

 

Mississippi Highway Patrol Master Sergeant Ray Hall says 19 year old Jeremiah Johnson of New Albany was driving east in the west bound lanes of Highway 72 around 1:00 Sunday morning.  Johnson collided head on with a SUV driven by 32 year old Livingston Hudson of Jackson ,Tennessee.   Hudson and his passenger, 34 year old Maurio Martin, also of Jackson, died in the crash.

Troopers are investigating why Johnson was in the wrong lane and do not know if alcohol or drugs played any role in the deadly collision.
