Video: A Dying Wish

BALTIMORE, MD. – (WCBI)All he wanted for Christmas was to meet a soldier, and a Calhoun County serviceman helped make that wish come true.

Captain Sherman Pittman was one of a group of soldier based in Baltimore Maryland that surprised Khalil Quarles at his home Wednesday. Quarles has been battling cancer, and has been given an estimated six months to live.

The young boy, who has always aspired to serve the country, wished that he could meet a soldier for Christmas this year.

The United States Army made both of his dreams come true.

Quarles also was inducted into the Army Reserves Wednesday.
