STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- Leaders with the Mississippi Center of Public Policy spoke to area businesses owners Tuesday afternoon in Starkville about the influence of the Affordable Care Act.

The program provided local businesses professionals an opportunity to have an in-depth look and a conservative approach to Obamacare.

Forest Thigpen is President of the Mississippi Center for Public Policy. Thigpen wants local businesses to understand the principle of the act and what it will mean for them in the future.

“Let’s look at it from the overall perspective. What impact will it have on the economy, what impact will it have for the long-term on our expectations from government,” says Thigpen.

Leaders in the program also want business owners, community leaders, and healthcare providers to figure out ways to work together and reduce the financial impact of the Affordable Care Act.
