The Gadsden Times reports (http://bit.ly/2hnbWNA) Mitchell Elementary School Principal Roger Wilkinson was suspended for 20 days without pay after meeting with school officials behind closed doors Tuesday.

Concerns were raised about Wilkson’s Facebook post that read: “All I can say is, Trump was elected two days ago and we already have actual white flour American rolls in the lunchroom instead of the Communist wheat bread that’s been served for the past few years.”

Officials didn’t say whether those concerns were part of their decision to suspend Wilkinson.

Schools Superintendent Ed Miller says the district is committed to supporting a culture of diversity, inclusion and fairness.
