Bobby Carl Hill

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – One piece of mail landed Bobby Carl Hill, 70, of Houlka in jail.

Hill is charged with false representation of exposure to a harmful biological, chemical, or radioactive substance.

Last week, Hill mailed a letter containing a white powder to Pontotoc business owner Frank Wilson.

When Wilson opened the letter, a white powder was released causing him to cough.

Wilson contacted emergency responders and the hazardous material response team with the Tupelo Fire Department found the material to be harmless.

Hill’s bond was set a $150,000 dollars; he was released on bond Sunday afternoon.
