During an early morning workout session at Humphrey Coliseum on Monday, Mississippi State All-SEC forward Jarvis Varnado became ill and was taken to Oktibbeha County Hospital for evaluation.
Although he was medically cleared by the doctors following numerous tests, 6-foot-9 Brownsville, Tenn., native was sent on to the Northeast Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss., for further tests as a precautionary measure.
�€œHe�€™s fine,�€� 12th-year Bulldogs coach Rick Stansbury said. �€œWe expect him back at full speed very shortly. We�€™re just being very cautious.�€�
