TUPELO, Miss. - Thursday (Oct. 1) was a beautiful day to be out of doors and some North Mississippi artists took full advantage.
Members of the Mississippi Painter's Society spent the day at Tupelo's Orenn Dunn Museum, 'Painting in Plan Air' (which means, painting out doors).
"It's exciting. It's fun to get out and paint Tupelo and the surrounding areas when we have a little bit of sunshine," Robbie Boyd, a member of the Mississippi Painter's Society, said. "We've been trying to paint for several weeks and couldn't until today so we're thoroughly enjoying this and hope that the public will come and see our work and see what we've done."
The group's work will be displayed during the 'Paint The Town Exhibit', scheduled to be held at the Link Centre October 16th through the 25th.
Membership to the Mississippi Painter's Society is open to artists 18 and older, who's work is approved by the Society's committee.
