TUPELO, Miss. - Hundreds of women are expected to gather in Tupelo this weekend for an extreme make-over, but it's not what you may expect.

The 'Extreme Make Over - Transitioning Into Your Total Purpose' Women Summit kicked-off Friday (Oct. 2) at the BancorpSouth Conference Center.

Sponsored by 'Women Positioned for Prayer, Process, Promotion and Praise', the free summit is aimed at empowering women and praising God.

"It's about the woman within, the in-ward woman and we're transitioning into our total purpose this weekend," Host and Organizer, Karen Salters explains. "It's for full circle women, every woman, any woman can come. It's about under-guarding, empowering and encouraging women."

The two day event will feature a slate of speakers expected to motivate the crowd with personal testimonies and passionate words.

While it is centered around spirituality, the summit will also feature vendors from women-led businesses and the chance to win a free living room suite.

The doors open Friday evening (Oct. 2) at 6 o'clock and service begins at 7. A prayer breakfast will be held Saturday morning (Oct. 3), doors will open at 8:00am. Admission to the breakfast is $25, all other admission is free.
