There was a huge pep rally at Heritage Academy Elementary School gym in Columbus today (Thursday).
Heritage Academy seniors have taken on the task of building a Habitat house for a low income Caledonia woman.
It didn't take much to get the kids fired up about the senior service project.
The 2010 senior class is involving the entire school in the building project.
"We wanted to challenge them to leadership and to really think about what their legacy was going to be on their family and their school," said Rebecca Partain, Co-chair, Senior Leadership Initiative.
"We are involving the whole school, the elementary is going to be providing lunch for us on our build days," said Ann Marie Chilcutt, Senior Class Secretary.
The habitat house is expected to be finished in time for senior class graduation day.
There will be an October 18th ground breaking ceremony.
