Collins Resigns at Tupelo

Tupelo head football coach Eric Collins has resigned two weeks after the Tupelo Public School District suspended him for a "violation of district policy".

Interim head coach Lamar Aldridge will continue to coach the team for the Golden Wave's final two regular season games this season.

TPSD Athletic Director Danny Porter, THS Principal Mac Curlee and TPSD Assistant Superintendent Fred Hill will begin designing a search process for a new head football coach.

The annoucement came at 3:00 PM Monday.
