MACON, Miss. (WCBI) - We now know when a judge will hear Roger Liddell's challenge of the Noxubee County Schools Superintendent Special Election.

Liddell lost the April 3rd election to Dr. Kevin Jones by nearly 400 votes.

Liddell claims that Jones' supporters illegally used absentee ballots.

The Mississippi supreme court has appointed retired Calhoun County Circuit Judge Henry Lackey to hear Liddell's challenge on August 20th, at the Noxubee County Courthouse.

Liddell is also scheduled to appear in a Washington County courtroom on August 6th to face charges of embezzlement.
The alleged crime happened while Liddell was working for Hollandale Simmons High School.
