COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)--A second suspect in the 1997 murder of George Willbanks turns himself into authorities.

Columbus police say Curtis Hinton, 47, turned himself into authorities late Thursday afternoon. He is charged with capital murder.

Bond is set at $2 million. Columbus police issued a warrant for his arrest on June 22, 2012.

The Willbanks murder was included in the series of 5 homicides involving elderly residents that rocked the city of Columbus, nearly 15 years ago.

Earnest Talley, 44,  and Hinton are accused of killing Willbanks inside of his 2nd Ave. N. apartment back in November of 1997.

Investigators say money was involved in the homicide investigation.

Talley has been facing charges in this case since February.
