SUNSET COMMUNITY, Miss. - The Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department is investigating a murder they say happened at a home on Glenn Lane just before 7:00 Wednesday (7-4) evening.

When deputies arrive, they found 34-year-old Aleatha Edmonds in distress. She was taken to OCH Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Her body has been taken to Jackson for autopsy.

Deputies arrested 39-year-old Richard Nurse on two counts of domestic violence and one count of manslaughter. He remains in the Oktibbeha County Jail waiting to be arraigned in justice court.
