Starkville, MS Intense growth for Cadence Bank may mean growing pains in the short term. Seventeen jobs in loan operations at the Starkville center are being moved to Birmingham in September. Cadence Bank President Mark Abernathy says the streamlining move is based on rapid growth, risk management and efficiency measures needed to benefit local customers. Employees who do not move with the jobs will receive severance pay and opportunities for other positions within the company. The Starkville data center for Cadence Bank employs more than 200 people.
