Itawamba AHS' Shumpert Named to Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen

FULTON, Miss. (WCBI) -- Itawamba AHS running back Ashton Shumpert, formerly of Tupelo High, has been named as the third member of the Clarion-Ledger's annual Dandy Dozen high school football team.
Shumpert joins South Panola's Antonio Conner and West Bolivar's Kailo Moore who made the list in the first two days.
Shumpert becomes IAHS' first ever football player to make the Dandy Dozen. He transferred back to Itawamba AHS after spending the 2011 season at Tupelo. He ran for nearly 1,000 yards with the Golden Wave a year ago.
