On July 13, 2012, at about 4:30 a.m., the Starkville Police Department received a call of a man trapped in the wall at the new Sprint Mart at Hwy. 12 and New Light Rd.
When the police arrived, employees of Sprint Mart told them that there was a man in the walls screaming for help. After almost 30 minutes, the police officers, along with the help of Starkville Fire Department, were able to free the man from the wall.
In an attempt to burglarize the Sprint Mart, the man climbed on top of the Sprint Mart building, accidentally fell through the roof and got lodged between the walls.
James Rovenstine, 23, of 1460 Pisgah Rd., Weir, is charged with burglary of a commercial building and is currently being held at the Oktibbeha County Jail. Rovenstine did not receive any injuries during the incident.
