CADENCE BANK STATEMENT FROM CADENCE BANK CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER MARK ABERNATHY

Cadence Bank is pleased to announce that Mike Cayson has been promoted to the position of banking center president for Starkville and that Doug Robertson has been promoted to banking center president for Columbus.

We are fortunate to have depth in our organization. Mike Cayson has been with Cadence Bank for 15 years. He has served as the Starkville Senior Commercial Banker for the past 8 years. Prior to that, he served as president of the Monroe County Banking Center. Mike's experience and knowledge of Starkville are true assets to our company, our customers and our community.

Doug Robertson has served the Columbus community for more than 32 years in numerous banking roles at Cadence Bank. He brings a deep experience to this new leadership role and will rely upon his extensive knowledge of our Columbus customers and their needs.

This management re-alignment results from the recent resignations of Marcus Mallory and Jim McAlexander.

For the past 15 years, Marcus has performed admirably for the bank in various capacities including Cadence's Chief Credit Officer and Mississippi Banking Executive.

Jim has successfully led the Columbus Banking Center in a variety of rolls over the last 13 years including Senior Credit Officer and Banking Center President.

We are all appreciative of one another's support over the years and we wish Marcus and Jim well in their future endeavors.

McAlexander and Mallory could not be reached for comment on why they stepped down. Cadence spokesperson Donna Rupp said the two weren't forced out. "We were as surprised as anyone," Rupp said.

Cadence Bank has served the Golden Triangle region for over 126 years. Today our bank is one of the best capitalized banks in the region and we are well positioned to serve Starkville and Columbus for the future.
