Two Get MUW Scholarships

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -- Two Lowndes County students get a $2,500 shot in the arm toward their college education.
Incoming freshmen Chelsea Burns and Joanna Frye each received scholarships today from the Lowndes County chapter of the MUW Alumni Association.
The group also elected Lillian Wade as president Shasta Dodd as vice president. Frances Ayers and Wanda Ray will serve as secretary and treasurer.
The meeting marked the group's first major event since the divided alumni reunited last year.
