STARKVILLE, Miss. - (WCBI) Starkville names its new city clerk.

Taylor Adams was chosen from a pool of 10 qualified candidates who were interviewed during a special meeting last week.

Adams is a purchasing manager in the Mississippi State University Office of Procurement and Contracts.

Adams is a Columbus native, who now calls Starkville home...

Adams takes the place of Markeeta Outlaw, who retired from the position on June 1st.

After Tuesday's unanimous vote, Adams will start work on August 1.
