FULTON, Miss. - (WCBI) Pull them up, or face a fine.
Fulton joins the growing list of municipalities who are tightening the belt on their saggy pants law.
Aldermen voted tonight in favor of an ordinance that requires pants or skirts to be worn more than three inches below the top of the hip.
Beginning immediately, the first violation is a warning. The second will cost you 50 dollars, while repeat offenders could face even steeper fines.
Violators may also be ordered to complete 40 hours of community service.
Columbus, Tupelo, Guntown and Saltillo are other cities who have adopted similar ordinances.
