PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI)- Two trials in Pontotoc county circuit court have been delayed until later this year. Desmond Johnson was scheduled to got to trial today, but instead will not face a jury until the next session in late November.

Johnson faces charges of murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after he allegedly shot and killed 25 year old Shawn Walton at the Grove Apartments in October of 2010. The trial of Anthony Wheeler will also be held in the next session.

Wheeler is charged with a DUI death and maiming.
