NOXUBEE COUNTY, Ms. (WCBI)--Lake Forrest Ranch has been hosting camps for over 60 years. Students from all over the world come to this camp to learn life skills and to even have a little fun.
The camp has a sixty acre lake that offers different activities such as tubing and boating. Campers can test their fear of heights on the ropes course in the trees that include a zip line. The fun activities is only a small part of the experience at Lake Forrest Ranch that keeps campers coming back each year.
"The counselors and all the staff are just really in love with the Lord and it just shows and they love people and they love to have fun," said Sarah Malone.
Many camps offer bible studies and fun activities, but the one on one time the campers have with their counselors is what makes the camp stand out.
"I have really liked getting to know all the girls in my cabin and getting to know my counselor Alison and talking to her and just knowing that other people are struggling," said Anna Leach.
This summer's camp theme is "living in the word"; which teaches students the tools of continuing their faith no matter where they are.
"Learning to even when it's hard, step out and talk to my friends and just I guess just be an example and continue walking with him even though I know I'm going to mess up," said Leach.
