The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) would like to inform motorists of a traffic advisory in Monroe County.

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., all lanes of Highway 6 will be closed for pipe replacement in Nettleton, MS. Pipes underneath Highway 6, just east of Myrtle Avenue, will be replaced during this time period. Message boards will be in place to warn motorists of the upcoming road work.

"We look forward to completing this project safely while causing minimal traffic delays throughout the area," said Northern District Transportation Commissioner Mike Tagert.

MDOT regrets any inconveniences this temporary closure may cause and would like to ask local traffic to seek alternate routes if possible.
