Columbus Man Charged With Intimidating Witness

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -- A Columbus man is back behind bars after allegedly intimidating a witness. 21-year-old Joel Jones was arrested Monday night after police say he sent an email to a person planning to testify against him.
Jones is charged with two counts of aggravated assault after police say he shot Zachariah Johnson and Tamarcus Thomas outside an Ash Street home shortly before 10:00 p.m. on June 14th.
He is currently in the Lowndes County Jail. Bond has not yet been set.
