BROOKSVILLE, Miss. - (PRESS RELEASE) On 7/23/2012, received a call about someone have broken into a residence on Depot st. in Brooksville stealing a new 46"Phillip flatscreen tv still in the box, DVD player, and some CD's. After investigating the situation a cousin of Roderick Brooks 23 yrs old of Brooksville stated that he had broken into the residence and pawn the tv and which we got the pawn receipt and a confession stating that he took the tv and pawn it in Columbus. Also his mother was a key to the puzzle helping us locate Brooks. Brooks had applied for a position at the police dept. two weeks.

We're grateful that the community is stepping up and informing us on crimes and whereabouts of these suspect when they're hiding after committing these crimes.
