Fema Fraud Guilty Plea

OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI) - An Okolona man admits to lying to FEMA. 47-year-old Ronnie Beard admitted to claiming that he lived at 586 County Road 157 during the April 2011 storms. He was indicted last December on two counts that he lied and embezzled money. He faces up to 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Meanwhile, 62-year-old James Pulliam, of Mansfield, Texas, will go before a judge on October 15th after allegedly falsely claiming he lived in Chickasaw County during the same storm.
