Calhoun Guard Unit to Receive Honor

CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WCBI) -- Company B of the Mississippi National Guard's 223rd Engineer Battalion will receive the 'Valorous Unit Award' during ceremonies next month.
The award honors the the company's extraordinary performance during its deployment to Iraq in 2003-04. The company is now part of the 858th.
The ceremony is 9 a.m. Aug. 2 at the Calhoun City High School football field. The public is invited.
