STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) -- A Louisiana man is charged in a string of home and car burglaries in Starkville

Det. Scotty Carrithers says 28-year-old Arthur Clay Savoy is charged four counts of burglary and one count of burglary of an auto.

Savoy also faces similar charges in Lafayette, La.

He is also being investigated by the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department.

His bond is set at a total of $125,000.

Savoy was arrested Wednesday after officers conducted a search warrant at his Lakeside Apartment, located on old Hwy 12.

There they recovered around $10,000 in DVDs, televisions, jewelry and phones that were reported stolen since June.

"He pointed out things that he had stolen over the course of the last month and half since he moved to Starkville. We have identified some of the victims and had them come by to identify their belongings. Right now, we're just waiting to get these items back once we get the okay," says Carrithers
