CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) - Corinth residents can get more information Tuesday (7-31) night before voting on proposed tax increases. A "future fare" forum will be held at the Corinth High School auditorium at 5:30. Residents will get more details about the tax election on August 21 to pay for a number of road and other infrastructure improvements.

The proposed tax on car tags, residential and commercial properties is expected to raise an additional $1,000,000 per year for a total of $5,000,000. If approved, the funds would be placed in a separate fund for work including street paving, property cleanup and improvements to sidewalks.
