TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) - The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking into a fatal shooting. Officials say the Tupelo Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the Barley Court Apartment Complex, on the Tupelo-Verona line, around 9:00 this morning. When they arrived, detectives say more shots were fired ending with a person dead. An officer was involved, which is why the investigation has been turned over to M.B.I. The officer, who has not been identified, was not injured. The Verona Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff's Department also responded to the call.
