STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)-- The trial of a man accused of robbing a Starkville donut shop has been delayed. Twenty-two year old George Johnson is accused of robbing Shipley's Donut shop last June around six o'clock in the morning. During the robbery, he allegedly slit the throat of one of the cashiers and stabbed another employee during a struggle. Police picked up Johnson later the same morning as he was walking down Highway 25. He told police he needed the money to get to California. The District Attorney says they are waiting for a mental exam before they can continue.
