CALHOUN COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)--Some Calhoun County students may be tested for drugs this upcoming school year. The school board heard from "Advanced Screening Solutions" this week about what the proposed program that would test only students in extra-curricular activities or drive a vehicle on campus.

The selection process would be random and chosen by the company not the school. If a student tests positive, they cannot be suspended or expelled, but banned from extra curricular activities. Superintendent, Mike Moore said, the cost would be a few thousand dollars per year, but would be covered by a federal program.
