COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) - For more than 100 years, The Palmer Home has been helping children who don't have a stable family structure.

 The Christian based organization relies heavily on donations, and Thursday (8-2) night, they got a big one from a local retailer. At the Trotter Convention Center in Columbus, Gary Dedeaux from Gary's Pawn and Gun presented the Palmer Home with a check for $100,000. Ruger also donated $25,000. Gary's kicks off its largest Ruger sale ever,  Friday. That sale runs through next Tuesday (8-7). A customized handgun was also auctioned off. It fetched more than $20,000 for the Palmer Home.
