UNDATED (WCBI)--Alabama's tax-free weekend for back-to-school purchases is underway.The seventh annual tax holiday began at 12:01 this morning and runs through Sunday night. The State wide four percent sales tax will be removed for many of the purchases and more than two-hundred and 50 cities and counties are also waiving their local sales taxes.
Eligible items include clothing costing less than $100 per item, computers and computer supplies for less than $750, school supply items costing less than $50 each, and books priced less than $30 each.
