COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -  Before they head back to the grind, local students enjoyed a back to school bash Friday (8-3) afternoon in Columbus.
 
 WCBI's Jillian Garrigues was one of the M-C's at the Trotter Convention Center.
 Contact Help Line teamed up with several other local organizations to make sure children have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.
 They gave out hundreds of backpacks, thousands of pens and pencils, folders, paper and more.
 Young people also heard motivational messages from area colleges, the Boys and Girls Club and of course Contact Help Line.
 An estimated 500 people attended.
