COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) - One area principal was named Mississippi's Administrator of the Year for 2012 and Wednesday her fellow peers threw her a surprise party.

It's been a year of success for Sale Elementary International Studies Magnet School. In April Principal Nancy Bragg was named Mississippi's Top Administrator of the year for her leadership, community involvement and ability to inspire teachers.

Bragg has been an educator for more than three decades. According to state accountability models, Sale is the only school in the district to rank high-performing.

Bragg credits her faculty and staff for the schools success.
