South Panola is #1 in Clarion-Ledger Super 10; Lafayette 4, Starkville 7

JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) -- Area teams had difficulty breaking into the Clarion-Ledger's annual Super 10 poll, which is the 10 best teams in Mississippi High School Football.
6A power South Panola grabbed the top spot in the preseason, weekly-updated poll. Meridian and defending 6A champion Olive Branch were 2nd and 3rd.
Defending 4A champions Lafayette landed at #4 on the Super 10 with Starkville sitting at #7 in the top 10.
Notable WCBI area teams left off of the Super 10: Louisville, Noxubee County, West Point
