The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 11 PM for all of these counties in our viewing area listed: Union, Pontotoc, Attala, Choctaw, Grenada, Carroll, Montgomery, Webster, Chickasaw, Yalobusha, Lafayette and Calhoun.

Storms will increase in coverage and intensity as we head into the evening hours. Damaging winds and large hail continue to be the main threats this evening. Storms will develop in the west end of our viewing area and move east.

Remember a Severe Thunderstorm Watch indicates a risk of hazardous weather. If you're in the watch you should have a plan in case a storm threatens your area.
