TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)--Local Food Network Star finalist, Linkie Marias is launching a set of cake decorating classes in the very place she started...Tupelo. Marias moved with her family from South Africa at the age of 16 and began her love of cake decorating at young age. The workshops will be held August the 18th and 19th at the Hilton Garden Inn Bancorp South Conference Center in Tupelo.

The weekend workshop will feature two classes: the first class on Saturday will be an Introductory to cake decorating--the basics. And an advanced class on Sunday that will work in-dept with fondant, colors, gum paste, and multi-tiered cakes. The workshops will last from 9AM to 5 PM each day and the cost is $175 for the first class, per person,  including all supplies.
