A broken line of showers and storms has been rolling through our viewing area this morning. Rain chances will remain high through mid morning as the line moves south. Skies will remain mostly cloudy today, and it looks like we will see a break in the rain between mid-morning and early afternoon.

With some daytime heating, we could still see some strong, possibly severe, storms this afternoon. The main threats will be gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning.

At this point, it looks there will be some showers in the area around kickoff for Friday night football. Nothing widespread is expected, though.

Highs will top out in the middle 80s today.
