COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) - A Columbus institution will close its doors next month. Chef Sarah Labensky says the Front Door and Back Door Restaurants will close for good Saturday, September 8th. The restaurants and the gourmet shop will remain open during their normal hours until then. Sara wants to give her loyal customers and staff a chance to say their goodbyes. She plans to refocus her energy on her writing and publishing career. The Doors have been open since 1996, and under Sarah Labensky's leadership for the last 6 and a half years.
