EUPORA, Miss. (WCBI) - According to Eupora Fire Department Chief Richard Love, firefighters were dispatched at 4:00a.m. Saturday morning to the Victory Full Gospel Baptist Church fully engulfed in flames.

Chief Love says, the start of of the blaze was due to a lighting strike from the wave of storms that swept through the area.

Firefighters were on scene for three hours and the church was a total loss.

Both Eupora Volunteer Fire Department and Walthall Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.

No one was injured in the incident.
