COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) - A $1 million construction project in Columbus is scheduled to be completed on time.
Funded by the Mississippi Department of Transportation the work done will improve the quality of intersections along Bluecutt Road making them safer for motorists.
According city engineer Kevin Stafford, the intersections will have a much cleaner look and with new lights being installed.
More projects are in the works providing funding can be acquired including adding turning lanes and widening the roadway.
The current work is expected to be completed in September.
