AFGHANISTAN, (WCBI) - A Winona native was seriously injured after he was struck by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Private First Class Cody Armstrong is a lead mine sweeper in the Army 123rd Infantry Division and was hurt when a roadside bomb exploded.
The Army has listed Armstrong in serious condition.
He is currently in a hospital in Khandahar, Afghanistan but will soon be relocated to a hospital in Germany once in stable condition.
