CALEDONIA, Miss. (WCBI) - A Caledonia High School student is behind bars after calling in a bomb threat.

School officials say, the call came in Wednesday around 10:00a.m. and they quickly followed protocol ushering student to the high school football field.

Lowndes County Sheriff, Caledonia Marshal's and the FBI all responded and were on scene by 10:25a.m.

It took close to an hour to clear the school before students could return to class.

Authorities quickly were able to trace the call back to a student who was apprehended a short time later.

Because he is a minor the name of the student is not being released.
