Cheers filled downtown as students walked the streets with crowds supporting them.

The event is a chance for the women’s group to give back to the community.

“It just means so much for everything that’s been going on in the world lately that our kids know that no matter what, our town, our community is pulled together and made this day just about them, and I think it’s just great that we know that Amory can come together and do this for Monroe County,” says  Junior Auxiliary of Amory Vice President, Alyssa Benedict.

After the parade, the pep rally kicked off and so did the cheerleaders dance moves.

Everything was free at the event,  including school supplies that were given away.

The group plans on making this an annual event.
