Booneville Man Arrested on Several Charges

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Booneville man is arrested on a slew of charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

The Prentiss County sheriff’s department says Steven Owens wouldn’t pull over, so a deputy chased him until Owens ran into a ditch on West Chambers Drive.

Owens was treated and released from a Corinth hospital, then taken to jail.

Investigators say he’s facing several misdemeanor charges, plus one for driving under the influence, and fleeing law enforcement.
