Boykin Answers Civil Claims Against Him
ABERDEEN (WCBI) – Former Columbus Police Officer Canyon Boykin is telling his side of the Ricky Ball shooting for the first time.
In an answer to claims made against him in a civil lawsuit, Boykin tells his version of the events on October 16th. 2015. Boykin says he did shoot Ball twice after Ball pointed a gun at him. The former officer says Ball turned and ran after those shots and the autopsy report will show Ball was struck on the front side of his body not in the back as Ball’s attorneys claim. The court filing also says Ball’s blood was found on a gun and a bag of marijuana which were found near his body. Boykin also says the gun found near Ball is the one stolen from a Columbus policeman’s home two months before the shooting. To view the court filing follow the link below
