BREAKING: Caledonia Teacher Resigns Following Allegations Of Sexual Misconduct

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County school teacher has reportedly resigned following accusations of sexual misconduct.

On February 24, the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department started investigating allegations of inappropriate conduct between a Caledonia High School teacher and some students at that school.

Incidents have reportedly taken place not only in Lowndes County, but also at a school in another county while on school activities.

This case is being handled by the investigation division of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department.

No names are being released while the investigation is active and ongoing.

Lowndes County Schools Superintendent Lynn Wright tells WCBI the school district cannot comment on personnel matters.
